Dennis is a top U.S. expert and visionary in leadership assessment using the competency-based interview models developed by the renowned human motivation scholar David C. McClelland. Before starting ClearView Consulting in 2010, Dennis worked for Hay Group for 17 years as a Management Consultant in Leadership Development and Talent Management.
In addition to working with David McClelland, Dennis has also developed, designed and delivered world-class leadership development and executive assessment programs. Dennis has an MA in Organizational Psychology from William James College.
Cyrillene (CC) Clark
A dedicated and passionate consultant, CC works with districts to help assess principals and train leaders in the use of behavioral event interviewing. Before joining ClearView Consulting, CC was the Practice Leader responsible for employee selection, development and succession at Hay Group. Her experience also includes change management and organizational development consulting for Blue Shield of California and the City of San Diego. CC received her PhD in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Penn State University in 1997 and her MS in Psychology from Villanova University in 1991.
Peter helps assess principals to determine if they’re suitable candidates for UVA’s School Turnaround Program. Formerly of Hay Group, where he worked for five years as the Regional Practice Head-Leadership & Talent, and Operations Manager U.S. Leadership & Talent, and also Lee Hecht Harrison and Seagate Associates, Peter brings extensive experience with regard to emotional intelligence and leadership, and executive coaching and talent assessment for external hires. He holds an MA in Counseling from New York University and a BA in History from Denison University.
Jane combines an extensive background in research-based competency modeling and talent management in the areas of leadership development, leadership assessment, performance management, and selection systems. Most recently she has worked with the Darden/Curry Partnership for Leaders in Education Program at the University of Virginia to assess and select principals to assume the leadership of failing and low performing schools in need of turnaround. Jane worked for many years as a senior consultant at Hay Group, McBer and Company, and Digital Equipment Corporation. She holds a M.Ed. and BA from Boston University.
Lisa assists school districts in the selection of leadership talent for campuses in need of rapid turnaround. Lisa’s experience includes coaching school leaders in the pursuit of their performance goals and is a primary partner in the development and delivery of the Coaching for Educational Leaders training program.
Prior to joining ClearView Consulting, Lisa served as a field support specialist and program coordinator at the Education Service Center, Region XIII in Austin, Texas. In this role, she focused her efforts on the instructional preparation, coaching and development of novice teachers. Lisa holds a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Language and Literacy Studies as well as a BS in Special Education.
Scott works with districts across the US to assess, select, and develop principals who can transform poorly performing schools and drive sustainable results. He also helps superintendents and their teams more effectively navigate the shifting political, financial, and demographic landscape of public education and create cultures that support student learning.
Scott’s experience includes 22 years at Hay Group, where he consulted with a variety of global organizations. He spent five years at the firm’s McClelland Center for Research and Innovation, where he worked with a variety of experts, including Daniel Goleman, noted author and expert in emotional intelligence. In addition to consulting, Scott writes and speaks frequently on leadership. While at Hay, he co-wrote Senior Leadership Teams, What It Takes to Make them Great (Harvard Business Press, 2008). His work has appeared in Harvard Business Review, FORTUNE, and Leader-to-Leader.
For the last two decades, Jenifer has helped US and global clients to improve performance by assessing, training and coaching leaders, as well as aligning culture to support strategic turnarounds. She is passionate about understanding how best to help clients advance their educational agenda and partners with them to drive effective change through world-class leadership programs for principals and district leadership.
Prior to joining ClearView, Jenifer worked at Hay Group for 18 years and served in leadership roles within the US and Latin American regions. She holds an MBA/MA dual degree from Vanderbilt University. Her technical expertise, personal on-the-ground leadership experience, and passion for education enable her effectiveness. Jenifer is fluent in English and Spanish.
Amy’s work in the field of organizational development spans the public, private, and non-profit sectors. She has experience with executive and senior leadership teams, both as a consultant and also in roles internal to organizations. She is committed to partnering with educators to improve public education for students across the country and previously served as Director of Talent Development and Talent Acquisition for City Year headquarters. She received her MA in Social Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and her BA from Washington University in St. Louis.
An educator, consultant, leadership expert and researcher, John has spent years studying what makes educators and school leaders successful. The resulting profiles have been used in the US, Great Britain, and Australia. As Managing Director in the Hay Group, John served on several boards. His experience also includes work with university presidents and boards, CEOs, the military and numerous Fortune 100 organizations. John is also the co-author, with Tracy Duberman, of “Co-Creating Strategy” in Trustee Magazine. John received his M.B.A. from Boston University in Organization Behavior and holds a Master of Divinity from the University of Notre Dame.
A seasoned interviewer and assessor of talent, Mark’s expertise is providing insight and guidance to district leaders as they discuss the placement and development of turnaround principals. His experience includes building competency-based leadership models for major corporations and establishing robust talent management processes for performance-based outcomes. Formerly with Hay Group, Mark was a sought after executive coach and leadership development consultant. Mark received his Th.D. in leadership studies from Boston University and has taught leadership in Boston University’s MBA program as well as other graduate schools.
Sue helps assess school leaders for selection into advanced education programs or key leadership roles within their school district. Formerly of Hay Group, Sue brings extensive experience with developing leaders and succession plans through understanding the match between the candidate and the requirements of the role. She has a diverse background in technology consulting, talent development, succession planning, coaching, and corporate and non-profit leadership which brings a broad perspective to her work in K-12 education.
Sue is certified in a number of leadership assessments, including Behavioral Event Interviewing and Competency Assessments. She is an experienced leadership coach, coaching assessor, coach trainer holding Director and Faculty positions with the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certificate Program. She received a BA in Mathematics from Colby College, and holds a Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation.
